BLACKFRIARS - GENERAL INFORMATION

Blackfriars is a Catholic school located in the heart of the Adelaide city. Blackfriars has a commanding reputation for the education of boys and currently has over 1,000 students. Our international students come from China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea and the Philippines. We have a maximum number of international students that we enrol here at Blackfriars. The number of enrolment for international students does not exceed 50. We stress on the quality we provide for our International students and keeping the number to a minimum will enable students to receiving the attention and assistance they most needed.

Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, is a warm and friendly city of approximately one million people. It is a safe and quiet city where it is becoming a very popular destination for many international students to study here. In comparison to many other states in Australia, Adelaide is relatively low in the cost of living. Many international students will soon find that Adelaide is Home away from Home because it is such a multicultural city and many things are easily accessible here in Adelaide.

BLACKFRIARS - ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

At Blackfriars, we have an extensive programme to cater for our ever growing International students. Enrolment into Blackfriars starts from Reception (kindergarten) to Year 12.

The curriculum at Blackfriars is broad and challenging. Subjects offered enable students to pursue many and varied post schooling careers. Many specific subjects are available to assist students in fulfilling entry requirements to tertiary education providers.

BLACKFRIARS - ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants who do not meet with the required English proficiency score will need to successfully complete a bridging course in English at the SA Adelaide Language Centre.

BLACKFRIARS - TUITION FEES

The tuition fee for 2010 is AUD$14,750. This does not include health cover, homestay fees and other expenses.

BLACKFRIARS - INTAKES

Blackfriars do accept students throughout the year, depending on their school report, their entry level applied and their English proficiency.

BLACKFRIARS - ACCOMMODATION

Blackfriars has a list of experienced and friendly homestay if student require such accommodation arrangement.

Homestay fee is AUD$460 every fortnight. Homestay provides full board which is breakfast, packed lunch and cooked dinner. Laundry will be provided too.
