BRADFORD COLLEGE, ADELAIDE - GENERAL INFORMATION


 

To Vietnamese students, especially who completed grade 11th or 12th, whose learning capacities are average or fairly good, taking a university-degree-transfer course is the most effective way for them to study and earn Australian University Degree. With the university-degree-transfer course, students have chances to join academic excellent, got a total care and earn a university degree.

 

Bradford College, located in Adelaide - South Australia, where students will create the fastest transition to the University of Adelaide (one of Australia’s leading universities).

 

Bradford College is situated on the campus of the University of Adelaide and therefore has a wide range of teaching methods, specifically prepares international students for entry into undergraduate courses at the University of Adelaide. Bradford’s courses is registed at Adelaide University; study here students will receive a student-card and enable to access all facilities of school.

BRADFORD COLLEGE, ADELAIDE - ACADEMIC COURSES


 

Bradford College offers two pathways to study in Australia in undergraduate programs – Foundation Studies and the Degree Transfer, and English Language Preparation for Academic Study.

 

1. Foundation Studies (for students completing Year 11)

 

The Foundation Studies program is specifically designed to meet the special needs of international students who wish to attend bachelor programs at the University of Adelaide. Foundation Studies students are enrolled as Year 1 University of Adelaide upon achieving successful and adequate scores in the Foundation Studies Program.

 

- Duration: 40 weeks

- Intake: February, July

- Entry Requirements:

- Completion of Year 11,

- IELTS - minimum overall band score of 5.5 (individual band scores cannot be below 5.0);Or TOEFL (computer based) - 195.

 

2. Degree Transfer (for students completing Year 12)

 

The Degree Transfer program is designed to give students fast track access to 2nd year entry at the University of Adelaide, if they want to save time and cannot enter the Bachelor Degree program directly. The Degree Transfer programs are a combination of bridging material and first year course material from the University of Adelaide degree program. Degree Transfer is suitable if you are unable to gain direct entry to the University of Adelaide program of your choice.

 

- Majors: Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, Science, Finance, Economics

- Term: 45 weeks

- Intake: March, October

- Entry Requirements: Completion of Year 12, IELTS 5.5

 

3. English

 

This course is designed for students who don’t meet the English entry requirements

- Term: 5 - 40 weeks

- Note: Time will be notified when students have taken a English test to determine the English ability.

BRADFORD COLLEGE, ADELAIDE -ACCOMODATION


 

There are several options for housing in Adelaide and Bradford College can help students work out which accommodation will suit students best. Student’s choice consists of:


- Homestay

- Student Hostels

- University Accommodation

- Independent Rental and Share House Accommodation.

Homestay

 

Homestay is the arrangement whereby students stay with a family in their home, living and eating with them. Homestay is therefore student’s opportunity to have a uniquely Australian experience. As Australia is a multicultural country, homestay can be an opportunity to understand different cultures so that students will develop an appreciation for other ways of living.

 

The homestay experience is ideal for developing English language skills and assists with student’s adjustment to Australia by providing a family atmosphere bridging students into Australian society.

 

Full board homestay accommodation (generally priced at $210 per week) includes:

 

- A single room with bed, desk, cupboard

- Laundry facilities

- Three meals per day.

 

Student Hostels

 

A wide range of student hostels are located around the city. Student hostels offer independence with a student environment where it is easy to make friends. Usually these consist of a fully furnished bed/study room, with access to shared kitchens, bathrooms and other facilities. Most hostels are located within a 30 minute bus ride from the College’s campus.

 

The price varies depending on the type of room students require ranging from $110 per week for a shared room with no private facilities up to $230 per week for a single room with own bathroom and all meals. Students must contact Bradford College’s accommodation manager to secure student’s hostel accommodation.

 

University Accommodation

 

Accommodation is also available to students at the University of Adelaide Village. Applications should be made directly to the University online via www.adelaide.edu.au/accommodation. Students will be required to commit to one full year and pay 12 months rent up-front in advance.

 

Independent Rental Accommodation

 

Independent accommodation (including shared house accommodation) is an option only open to students over the age of 18. Students will need to find their own property. This option provides students with more independence, privacy and freedom than other forms of accommodation and costs approximately $5,000 - $10,000 per year plus 4 weeks rent for bond. The cost of independent rental does not include meals, gas, water, electricity or other living expenses.

 

BRADFORD COLLEGE, ADELAIDE - ENROLMENT PROCESSES


 

Students must:

 

- Completer the application form of Bradford College

- The notarized copy of passport

- Submit the notarized and translated copies of high chool degrees and transcripts

 

Approximately two weeks after student submit the above requirement, Bradford College will send Letter of Offer to you. Students are reponsible to pay the tuition fee which show on Letter of Offer to Bradeford College and prove their payment in written documents. Later on, Bradford Collegge will send eCoE - Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment, to you.
